I'm looking to create a lines drawing for a ship. i chose a deck area, lbp, beam, depth, draft, and calculated the area for 10 sections, waterplane areas, prismatic coefficient, and other coefficients.. Lofting is a drafting technique (sometimes using mathematical tables) whereby curved lines are generated, to be used in plans for streamlined objects such as aircraft and boats. the lines may be drawn on wood and the wood then cut for advanced woodworking ..
Hi guys, just a quick one - how many sections, waterlines and buttock lines are used in a normal lines plan? im thinking 10 waterlines and buttocks, and around 20 section lines - would this give too much or too little detail?.
