Plywood Dinghy Boat Plans

Saturday, February 16, 2019

"one and a half sheet boats" are dinghies made of one and a half sheets of plywood. or two dinghies (two similar or two different) out of three sheets. all of these dinghies are easy, quick and cheap to build, so they too are very suitable for first boatbuilding projects.. The best, if not the only possible material for this dinghy is 1/4" (6.5 mm) marine or exterior grade plywood. 1/2" (12 mm) has been tried, but it is definitively too thick. the sides won't bend without breaking.. An extremely simple houseboat to build, the free boat plans feature a strong hull with a heavy keel and close-spaced framing. this, coupled with a relatively low profile, makes it a very stable craft..
